This month's theme is The Best of 2014. First of all, let me just say what everyone is going to say... it is INSANE that 2014 is almost over! 2014 was the year that I really branched out in the makeup department and started trying a bunch of new colors and products. Especially lipsticks. My lipstick collection grew this year by like 400% from the year before. My bank account is crying about it, but I'm not complaining!
So naturally I decided to dedicate this post to the Best Lipsticks of 2014.
I love all things from The Body Shop and I have been obsessed with these lip butters all year long. They are super moisturizing without being goopy and gross. The one I am currently using is the Grapefruit one and it is my all time fav! They are the perfect balm to wear underneath of matte lipsticks.
Best Lip Liner: NYX Lip Liner in Natural

When swatched on my hand it does come off pretty dark but on the lips it is a perfect natural looking liner as the name suggests. My top lip is uneven so I'm always applying liner in order to even things up, regardless of the color lipstick I pair it with. This was the second pencil that I went through this year because I used it that much.
Best Everyday Color: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Primrose
This is my all time favorite lipstick that I have purchased time and time again. It is such a pretty soft pink nude with mauve undertones. This is the lipstick that I wear most days because it goes with every single eye look.
Best Pink: Mac Lipstick in Please Me
This is right up there with Primrose for my favorite lipstick of all time. It is such a gorgeous pink. If you don't have this one you should definitely pick this up!
Best Matte Lipstick: Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Lust for Blush
This one was super hard for me because I prefer matte lipsticks anyways so I had way too many to choose from, but I narrowed it down and decided on the Maybelline Matte lipsticks. They are honestly the most comfortable matte lipstick I have ever wore. They are super smooth and creamy and not drying at all.
Best "Kylie Jenner" Nude: Mac Velvet Teddy
Best Berry: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute

I wore this lipstick a ton from August till November. It is such a beautiful purple shade that is surprisingly really easy to wear!
Best Coral: Colour Pop Lippie Stix in Rocket
Best "Kylie Jenner" Nude: Mac Velvet Teddy
Did I even need to mention this one? I think everyone was obsessed with Velvet Teddy this year. It was so hard to find this one because it was sold out everywhere but I finally got my hands on one at the beginning of fall and I wore it constantly!

If you haven't tried these Lippie Stix you should definitely go out and buy them now. They are sooo creamy and pigmented and so comfortable to wear. I am obsessed with this bright pink coral shade!
I love bright orange lipsticks and this one is by far my favorite. I love these NYX Matte lipsticks to begin with and this one is hella bright and amazing.
Best Red: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Really Red
I am so obsessed with this red. It has a matte finish which of course I am obsessed with and it is so creamy and so pigmented. It is my go to red and I reached for it a ton this year!
I am a huge fan of these Mega Last Lipsticks because they are creamy, matte and super long lasting (not to mention affordable!). I have been reaching for this lipstick whenever I want a deeper red and I am crazy in love with how it looks.
Best Lip Gloss: Buxom Full Bodied Lip Gloss in Dolly
Now just for a little background info on me, I hate lipgloss. I very rarely wear it because I hate the stickiness that gloss has. I do make an exception for this gloss however. It is super creamy and pigmented and not too sticky so I can manage it. It is such a gorgeous rosey mauve gloss.
