I'm just a Vancouver girl writing about shiny things that catch my eye. I'm not a makeup expert, I just want to share my experiences as I learn more about makeup and skin care. My weaknesses include turquoise nail polish, coral lipstick, and puppies. I have other interests like knitting, gaming, baking, and they pop up here from time to time too. You can read some random facts about me here!
My cheeks are normal-ish and my forehead and nose tend to be drier, so I favour products that are formulated for dry skin. I also deal with eczema around my mouth and sensitivity on my lips. I don't consider the rest of my face to be all that sensitive--I have used all kinds of creams, masks, and exfoliants and rarely have a reaction. My face can be sensitive to changes in climate, which is annoying when I travel or the seasons change.
For reference, I have worn/wear the following base product shades:
- Marcelle BB Cream in Light to Medium
- Marcelle CC Cream in Light to Medium
- Guerlain Lingerie de Peau in 02 Beige Clair (review here)
- Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream in Light
If you are curious about my blog name--don't worry, you're not the first! Do want comes from do not want (often used in all caps DO NOT WANT), an internet meme that was spawned by a foreign language-dub Star Wars Episode III. At the end of Episode III when Darth Vader screams "noooooo!" it is translated in the English subtitles as:
Products featured on this blog are a mix of my own purchases and press samples received from a brand or its public relations team for consideration. I am also sometimes invited to press events that provide samples. I do not guarantee anything in exchange for samples or other forms of compensation. My first priority is to always present my opinion with honesty, sincerity, and integrity. Posts which feature press samples are indicated by a statement at the end of the post identifying them as such.
Please respect that I have put a lot of time and effort into this blog and do not repost my images or text, whether it is in part or in full, or as originally posted or edited, without contacting me. Pinning to Pinterest with a link back is a-okay.
